On tripadvisor.com you can see it listed as #4 attraction to visit in Abu Dhabi that is because many travelers always asked it on be listed on their Abu Dhabi day tour, So what is the story behind this hospital ?! Let us check the below lines and photos from the inside of the featured hospital:
1. Founded in 1999 to be the first hospital of its kind to receive and treat falcons.
2. In Abu Dhabi cultural heritage and in the Arabian heritage in general, Falcons had occupies very special importance being a symbol of power, strength and domination. That is one of the reasons for which such a hospital was founded.
3. Falcons show is one of the very special shows that take place in Abu Dhabi desert safari trips.
4. Falcons are so precious birds, even the rate of one may reaches and overrides one million AED!
5. Hospital operates under direct patronage of his highness Abu Dhabi crown prince. That shows the great importance which is obtained by the hospital.
6. Hospital has about 200 beds and yearly it receives 6000 falcons to be treated and receive the required care.
7. Since 2010, hospital has been one of the important tourist attractions of city which is visited by great number of travelers everyday.
8. You may did not know that falcon may be totally unbalanced in case it missed even only one flight feather!
9. An animal shelter is manged also by the hospital offering care for animals include cats and dogs as well.
10. Hospital is one of the places to go in Abu Dhabi and repeatedly it is asked to be part of Abu Dhabi city tour.
